Strategic Plan

Dar Al Uloom Schools work in the light of a clear vision for the future through well-planned program, which is the result of our constant developmental efforts that aim at identifying a set of positive educational objectives. We work hard for selecting and implement the proper assessment techniques which help develop our performance to achieve quality and excellence; to beat competition; to improve our students academic achievement levels; and to prepare them to be good citizens who are capable of achieving their aspirations and meet our country’s needs.

Therefore, Dar Al Uloom Schools developed a strategic plan in light of which the operational plans and the Academic Year Plans for the coming years have been devised. This is as follows:

First: The list of the priorities and the general objectives of the Strategic Plan.

 

– Students Affairs
Providing comprehensive and full care in terms of educational, pedagogical and skills aspects, to help students develop a balanced personality to be able to participate and positively interact with the society in a constructive and satisfactory way.
Helping the students maintain self-discipline and commitment to good conduct rules. In addition to adopting developed assessment and evaluation systems to improve our students’ academic achievement results.

Detailed objectives:
Consolidation of Islamic Belief, instilling good habits in our students, and raising their sense of loyalty and pride in to our country.
Caring for the students scientifically and the distinguished students specifically and giving special attention to the talented students.
Facilitating development of scientific creativity, research, and innovation. Examining students’ behavioral problems and develop solutions for them in addition to developing students’ thinking skills and creativity.
Creating a healthy environment that helps students acquire good learning skills and encouraging students to take the lead in order to prepare them as leaders of tomorrow who are capable of taking responsibility and facing problems.
Motivating students to achieve excellence and creativity and holding creativity development programs.
Increasing the number of guided programs that contribute to building students’ personalities and spreading the spirit of enthusiasm.
Developing program for the talented students who are distinguished in scientific research and inventions.
Teaching the students the basics of writing scientific research and getting them familiar with creative thinking skills.

– The Curricula & Teaching and Learning Skills
Making use of the scientific studies conducted in the field of education and modern teaching methods that work on enhancing the educational experience through applying modern techniques and educational strategies, active learning, and interactive education in line with the objectives of achieving high-efficiency interactive educational environment that promote active participation of all students in the educational process while enjoying the full support of the teaching staff. This vision aims at making the best use of the educational curricula and courses applied for the benefit of the educational process.

Detailed Objectives:
Examining the educational and field problems facing the full implementation of the curriculum and suggesting the suitable solutions for them.
Participating in the process of curricula reviewing according to the current variables and developments.
Providing multiple sources of curricula and investing these learning resources in creativity and innovation.
Creating an inviting educational environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

– Commitment to Implementing a Total Quality System in the Educational Process
Developing the quality system and putting into force all its standards, controls and principles in order to review, monitor and assess all performance aspects in Dar Al Uloom Schools, such as: the Institutional and the individual aspects of the educational process.

– Achieving Full and Optimal Use of the Available Resources and School Environment
Ensuring optimal use of school environment components, such as: the buildings, the laboratories, the halls …etc. and providing the necessary and proper maintenance of these components.
Developing plans and identifying the possible opportunities to improve school resources as well as using modern technology applications.

اDetailed Objectives:
Developing school environment and organizing it to become an attractive and stimulating educational environment. Making school environment an aesthetic and healthy surrounding. Continuing to develop school environment so as to encourage students to keep learning and discovering.

– Human Resources Educational and Administrative Staff
Identifying the needs of all human resources, such as: the educational, the supervisory and the administrative staff in terms of development and improvement. Identifying the necessary developmental programs and the training courses needed up to the maximum possible point with relation to the resources available in Dar Al Uloom Schools.

Detailed Objectives:
Ensuring professional growth of the educational and administrative staff. Using versatile assessment techniques. Raising the level of performance in the educational process as a whole. Increasing production capacity through continuous training. Improving professional and institutional maturity through social and health care programs.

– Management and Leadership
Providing and training the educational and administrative leaders. Hiring the highly experienced and equipped candidates who have visions for coordinating and better employing employees’ potentials so as to provide the best educational services in accordance with the plans developed by Our Schools to ensure achieving continuous improvement of Dar Al Uloom Schools performance.

– Local Society
Participating in community service for the good of our country. Cooperating with our local authorities in a way that makes all members of this community feel loyalty and familiarity with it to encourage them to actively participate in achieving its mission, vision and objectives.

Detailed Objectives:
Paying attention to providing versatile activity programs: cultural, religious, social, scientific. Increasing our interaction with the local community.
Encouraging and promoting students’ excellence and creativity.
Holding creativity, recreational and cultural programs at school.
Reinforcing interaction with the surrounding community and participating in field activities that help achieve the educational goals set by the School.
Engaging the community in school programs to achieve cooperation and integration.

Second: Executive Programs of the Strategic Plan

– Providing and training the educational and administrative leaders who have visions for coordinating and better employing employees’ potentials to provide the best educational services and to ensure achieving continuous improvement of Dar Al Uloom Schools’ performance. :

  • Program name: School Leadership
  • General Objective: Empowering educational management employees at different stages to carry out development plans.
  • Program Description: Holding ten workshops to empower the leaders of the targeted educational stages.
  • Target:   – School Principals
    – Vice-Principals
    – Stage Supervisors
    – Senior Teachers
  • Official Responsible: Head of Administrative Affairs
  • Implementation Date: The month of Rabi-ul-Thani, every year
  • Indicators of achievement:   – Development of educational leadership skills by a percentage of 40%.
    – Increasing delegation.
    – Enhancing Job Satisfaction.

– Making use of the scientific studies conducted in the field of education and modern teaching methods that work on enhancing the Educational experience through applying modern techniques and educational strategies, active learning, and interactive education to promote active participation of all students in the educational process while enjoying full support of the teaching staff for the benefit of the educational process.:

  • Program name: Teaching staff
  • General Objective: Electronic software package
  • Program Description: Developing the skills of the teaching staff
  • Target: Comprehensive curricula to develop the educational experiences and to introduce new teaching and learning methods
  • Official Responsible: Specialized Trainers
  • Implementation Date: The first semester of each academic year
  • Indicators of achievement: Training the teachers on using a number of selected electronic programs by a percentage of 75%

– Library of educational electronic films:

  • Program name: Improving teachers’ ability of using technology in education
  • General Objective: Improving teaching staff ability of using technology in education
  • Program Description: The project provides a range of educational films that are related to the curriculum and achieve the intended educational goals in less time and effort while achieving more pedagogical benefit. The project helps developing the educational tools and means used.
  • Target: Male and female teachers of Mathematics and Science
  • Official Responsible: Learning Resources Administrator
  • Implementation Date: Second semester of the academic year 1437-1438 AH. First semester of the academic year 1438-1439 AH.
  • Indicators of achievement: Libraries are used in teaching at least 40% of the electronic lessons.

– Teaching Receptive Skills:

  • Program name: Developing teachers’ classroom performance practices to improve implementation of the planned curricula
  • General Objective: The idea of the project is based on classroom application of David P. Ausubel’s Subsumption Theory of Meaningful Verbal Learning which research proved its usefulness in teaching.
  • Target: Female teachers
  • Official Responsible: Professional Female Trainers
  • Implementation Date: First and Second semesters of the academic years: 1437-1438 AH 1438-1439 AH
  • Indicators of achievement: Dar Al Uloom Schools adopt an educational policy that emphasizes the application of a Subsumption Theory of Meaningful Verbal Learning and other teaching-related theories

– Osrok:

  • Program name: This program is intended to improve the professional competencies of our educational human resources
  • General Objective: An excellent development project whose idea is based on classroom application of a Blended Learning Strategy.
    It can be summarized as follows: using electronic websites in improving daily classroom teaching.
  • Program Description: Female English language teachers
  • Target: Female Trainers at the Unit of Educational Affairs
  • Implementation Date: Continuous for two years during the first and the second semesters of the academic years: 1437-1438 AH 1438-1439 AH.
  • Indicators of achievement:
    – School principals shall be adopting the project and implementing it in the future to ensure adopting best teaching methods of Languages.
    – Transferring this idea and implementing it in other schools
    – Increasing the number of website visitors.
    -Increase teaching staff’s performance level
    – Enhancing the number of our training programs in the fields of education and development

– Ensuring that the school and its buildings are well used and that they are undergoing the best maintenance. Dar Al Uloom Schools is committed to improving our resources and using the most modern technical applications in enriching the tests of the students. :

  • Program name: This Project is about “the secret of my success”
  • General Objective: Improving the professional competencies of our educational human resources.
  • Program Description: This program is held in a training center that trains the female teachers on modern teaching methods
  • Target: Female teachers
  • Official Responsible: School principals and female trainers at the Unit of Educational Affairs
  • Implementation Date: From: 8th of Dhul-Qa’dah, 1438 AH. To: 8th of Dhul-Qa’dah, 1439 AH.
  • Indicators of achievement: Absence is reduced by a percentage of 80%.
    Delay incidents are reduced to almost ‘none’ at the end of the project
    Parents’ and students’ Satisfaction increases by 40%

– Cooperating with all school female employees to determine their developmental needs and to meet those needs to the maximum extent as the available resources allow. :

  • Program name: The professional educational group of employees at school
  • General Objective: Improving the professional competencies of our educational human resources.
  • Program Description: This program is held in a training center that trains the female teachers on modern teaching methods
  • Target: Female Teachers
  • Official Responsible: School principals and female trainers at the Unit of Educational Affairs
  • Implementation Date: From: 8th of Dhul-Qa’dah, 1438 AH. To: 8th of Dhul-Qa’dah, 1440 AH.
  • Indicators of achievement:
    – Female teachers use a variety of teaching methods.
    – Female teachers use teaching methods that are in line with school goals be a percentage of 80%.

– Cooperating with all school female employees to determine their developmental needs and to meet those needs to the maximum extent as the available resources allow. :

  • Program name: Qualifying Newly-employed female teachers
  • General Objective: Improving the professional competencies of our educational human resources.
  • Program Description: Accelerating the process of integrating new female teachers into our school environment
  • Target: female teachers
  • Official Responsible: Educational Affairs assistant
  • Implementation Date: The month of Dhul-Qa’dah each year – continues
  • Indicators of achievement: – New Female teachers show satisfaction and adaptation to school environment by a percentage of 90%

– Giving female students the psychological, educational and skills care that enable them to develop balanced personalities capable of creativity, innovation, adaptation and interaction with society in a constructive manner:

  • Program name: Talent Sponsorship Project
  • General Objective: Building students’ personalities and providing them with the necessary care
  • Program Description: Enhancing the talents program to provide support for creative students and to achieve the developmental goals.
  • Target: Talented students
  • Official Responsible: female Officials responsible for supporting creative and innovative students at school
  • Implementation Date: Over three years.
  • Indicators of achievement: Motivating most of our students develop their talents and creativity.

– Working with our local community in such a way that all members of this community feel familiarity and loyalty to the school and actively participate in achieving its mission. :

  • Program name: Charities
  • General Objective: Developing systematic participation as an educational institution
  • Program Description: A training program to be implemented in the form of awareness lectures that aim at equipping the girls with some psychological, social and volunteering skills.
  • Target: Charities
  • Official Responsible: Female teachers
  • Implementation Date: 1438 AH 1439 AH 1440 AH
  • Indicators of achievement: Training female students on volunteering and community service work by a percentage of 90%

– Working with our local community in such a way that all members of this community feel familiarity and loyalty to the school and actively participate in achieving its mission. :

  • Program name: Surveys conducted of viewpoints and trends
  • General Objective: Improving education quality.
  • Program Description: Identifying the level of satisfaction of those who are considered as the beneficiaries of the schools
  • Target:
    – School female employees
    – Female Students’ Mothers.
  • Official Responsible: Math female teachers
  • Implementation Date: The month Jumadal-Akhirah
    of the following years: 1437 AH 1438 AH 1439 AH
  • Indicators of achievement: Improving the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the service on a continuous basis each year.

– Implementing an effective quality control system and continuously reviewing and amending it. :

  • Program name: Improving the level of academic achievement of the female students according to local and international standard in pre-university educational stages.
  • General Objective: Improving education quality.
  • Program Description: Increasing students’ aptitude to succeed in the General Aptitude Test (GAT) through receiving special programs that provide educational and psychological support for male and female students
  • Target:
    – Mathematics and Arabic language female teachers in Secondary school stage
    – Student Counselor
  • Official Responsible: Outsourced Trainer
  • Implementation Date: Continuous through the coming academic years until 1440 AH
  • Indicators of achievement:
    – Raising General Aptitude Test’s passing ratio to up to 100%
    -To make our Schools earn one of the top three places in terms of GAT’s results in the coming years

– Employing an effective quality system for monitoring, reviewing and continuously improving school practices. :

  • Program name: Achieving continuous development and improvement of both the educational and administrative processes
  • General Objective: Improving quality of education
  • Program Description: Conducting Benchmark testing to assess our Schools’ performance in a number of areas including functionality and quality in
    light of national and international standards, such as the MAF test
  • Target: English language, science and mathematics female teachers
  • Official Responsible:

    – From: the month of Rabi-ul-Thani, 1438 AH
    – To: Dhul-Hijjah, 1439 AH
  • Indicators of achievement: There is a noticeable equivalence between female students’ results in school tests and their results in the standard tests.
